南海岩，1962年生于山东省平原县，1982年毕业于德州师专艺术系，同年分配于平原师范学校任美术教师。1994年入北京画院深造于王明明工作室，并受益于卢沉、周思聪和姚有多等教授。现为北京画院专业画家，国家一级美术师，中国美术家协会会员，北京美协中国画艺术委员会委员。

Nan Haiyan，he was born in Pingyuan County, ShandongProvince in 1962. At the year of 1982, Nan Haiyan was graduated from ArtsDepartment of Dezhou University (former DezhouNormal SpecializedPostsecondary College),and was assigned to Pingyuan Normal School, ShandongProvince as an art teacher the same year. In 1994, he entered Beijing Art Academy and furtherstudied at Wang Mingming Studio. Moreover, he benefited a lot from ProfessorLuchen, Zhou Sicong and Yao Youduo. Right now, he is the professional painterat Beijing Art Academy,a national level artist, a member of Chinese Artists Association and acommittee member of Beijing Art Association Chinese Painting Art Committee.

其传略及作品入编《中国现代美术全集》《中国当代美术全集》《二十一世纪中国绘画精华录》等大型画集。作品《阳光璀璨》于1999年获得第九届全国美展铜奖，《净土》于2003年获得第二节中国画大展铜奖，《金谷》于2004年获文化部全国画院双年展优秀作品最佳作品奖。《虔诚》入选百年中国画大展，并被中国美术馆收藏。出版有《南海岩画集》《当代美术家精品集•南海岩》《南海岩重彩人物画集》《名家名画•南海岩彩墨人物》《百年中国画展名家精品•南海岩专辑》，《青山一隅——南海岩书法墨迹选》等十余部作品专集。

His works Shining Sunshine won the Bronze of the Ninth National ArtExhibition in 1999; Pure Land wasawarded Bronze at the Second ChinesePainting Exhibition in 2003; Gold Gu tookthe prize of Best Production of excellent works at National Painting AcademyBiennale of Ministry of Culture; Piety wasselected into A Century of ChinesePainting Exhibition and collected by National Art Museum of China. He haspublished for more than 10 works albums, including Nan Haiyan Paintings, Fine Works of Contemporary Artists•Nan Haiyan, Nan HaiyanHeavy Colored Figure Paintings, Famous Paintings, Nan Haiyan Ink and ColorFigure Painting, Famous Pieces of a Century by Masters of Chinese Painting Exhibition,Nan Haiyan Album, as well as the Corner of a Hill—Collections of Nan Haiyan’s Calligraphy.
