《光之炼金术》策展手记(一)

返 回来看迪尔曼·克瑞恩的作品内容,他拍摄的那个隐没于黑暗中的残破沙发(图1),那间被废弃的房间里,延绵的植物覆盖着积满灰尘的家居(图2),不仅在作 者的视觉意识中被凝视而用相机纪录下来,还在他的视觉影调构成下(大面积的黑色调,散射光刻画残破视觉主体的肌理与层次)形成了一幅幅充满故事性的叙事影 像,更借助铂钯影调的特有层次与光泽,赋予被时间遗忘的角落一份沉稳而辉煌的美。因此,我认为迪尔曼·克瑞恩最有特点、最具美学价值的作品,是他拍摄残败 景象,拍摄生活、生产景象的照片。在这一类作品中,铂钯影像对暗部的超凡表现能力,为吞噬沙发的黑暗处(图1)和废弃房间的深暗纵深处(图2)进一步增添 了叙事的想象力,同时铂钯印相的特征赋予日常事物影像一份庄严与恒久的美。这样,迪尔曼·克瑞恩纯熟的铂钯印相制作就体现出了材料美学真正的意义与价值。

Looking  back works of Tillman Crane such as a broken sofa (figure 1), a dumped  house, and home furnishing covered with vine and dust (figure 2),  Tillman not only shoots object via visual consciousness, but also  composes a narrative image through visual tone (Against black tone on a  large scale, texture and gradation of vision subject are highlighted by  scattered light.) Also, with the help of peculiar gradation and gloss of  platinum/palladium tone, Tillman makes desolate corner alive.  Therefore, I believe that dilapidated scene, daily life and production  taken by Tillman Crane are the most distinctive and of aesthetic value.  Appreciating all his works, platinum/palladium image seems to have  transcendental power to highlight the shade. Narrative imagination for a  shade overwhelmed by sofa (figure 1) and the deep of abandoned house  (figure 2) is enhanced. Besides, platinum/palladium printing brings a  solemnity and forever beauty for daily objects. Thus, skilful  platinum/palladium printing of Tillman Crane naturally unveils real  significant and value of material aesthetics.
