《光之炼金术》策展手记(一)

因 此,经过策展团队的商讨,我们确定了《光之炼金术》这个展览题目。光是迪尔曼·克瑞恩影像创作中最主要的语言,他通过光来塑造主体,建构视觉表达的体系。 光也是铂钯印相最关键的技术控制对象,如何曝光、如何获得影调,都是围绕着光来进行。而迪尔曼·克瑞恩的影像控制能力也是体现在对光的超凡使用,使光能够 成为炼金术的绝妙所在。

Therefore, we determine the exhibition title of Refinement of Light after  team discussion. Light, the most important language of Tillman Crane’s  creation, is used to mould subject and construct vision expression. In  addition, light is also a vital factor of technical control of  platinum/palladium printing. How to make exposure and obtain tone must  be determined by light. Tillman Crane’s control ability for tone is also  reflected in extraordinary application of light, which makes light  ingenious around the world.

本 次展览,最终选择迪尔曼·克瑞恩的100幅作品,分为四个单元展出。第一单元《遗忘的时光》,展示关于社会生活场景的影像。这也是最为重要的单元,是铂钯 影像特征转换为美学语言的典型体现。第二单元《苏醒的画意》,展示柔焦风景照片。21世纪新画意摄影在世界很多地方都有一种复古与回潮现象。迪尔曼·克瑞 恩的影像代表了这样一种新时代的画意摄影探求。第三单元《沉醉的瞬间》,展示风景摄影题材的作品,体现了直接摄影所代表的现代主义摄影的一脉相承。第四单 元《华夏的气韵》,展示迪尔曼·克瑞恩在中国拍摄的作品,提供给我们另一种观察中国的视点。

100  works of Tillman Crane will be selected and displayed in four parts.  The first part is the Time in Lost which is about scenes of Social life.  As the most important unit, it is typical reflection platinum/palladium  transforming from image features to aesthetic language. The second  part, the Artistic Inspiration Coming to Sense, is scenic photo of soft  focus. Photography of artistic inspiration in the 21st century resurges  in the world. Images of Tillman Crane represent an exploration for  artistic inspiration in the new age. The third part An Intoxicated  Moment is a series of scenery photos, showing succession of modernism  photography represented by direct pickup. The fourth part the Artistic  Conception of Chinese Nation, provides a perspective from Tillman Crane  to observe China.
