丁仲修，1946年生于青岛，当代著名中国画家，是新技法、新面貌、新气象的北派山石画创始者。北派山石技法在中国画坛影响极大，是众多绘画学习者的临摹范本。同时，丁仲修在梅花，牡丹以及书法创作领域也自成一派，造诣颇深。

作品九次入选中国美协主办的全国性大展并获奖，其中《无欲则刚》入选第二届中国美术最高奖“金彩奖”并获奖；《苏醒》入选首届中国北京国际美术双年展序列展并获铜奖；在国内外举办个展40余次，作品在美国和英国展出后受到广泛关注和好评。

著有《丁仲修山石情怀·当代著名画家技法解析》、《梅花图谱》、《大匠之门》、《当代名家画集》、《大家气象》、《中国美术家大系——丁仲修卷》、《民族魂——黄河万里全貌图》、《黄海彼岸》等作品集十余种；艺术论文集《采石堂谈艺》以及技法理论丛书《丁仲修北派山石笔墨技法》、《丁仲修北派山石体系与技法概论》等，海内外均有发行。

丁仲修的山水世界有着无法度量的精神内涵和想象空间,其作品以极具风格化的艺术特色享誉当代中国画坛。在他的山水境象中，是以缺水少树的北方山石景观为主体，以局部放大的全新视角，运用自己创造的语言符号，走出了传统山水的程式，开拓了中国水墨画的当代性，给人以新异逼人的强烈印象。

2016年创作完成了长147米，高2.2米的描绘黄河万里全貌的巨幅作品《民族魂》，一经问世，各界为之震撼，为画家最知名的代表作之一，被誉为“中国八大长卷之一”，“中国巨幅山石绘画之最”。

2020年创作完成了长60米，高2米的《黄海彼岸》，描绘了青岛西海岸怡人的自然人文风貌，为青岛市打造出了一张卓越不凡的城市名片。

2024年创作完成科罗拉多大峡谷系列巨幅作品，再次引起国际艺术界的广泛关注和好评。

Ding Zhongxiu, born in 1946 in Qingdao, is a renowned contemporary Chinese painter, the originator of the Northern School mountain and stone painting which is a new faction with the new look,spirit and technique of Chinese Art. The Northern school mountain and stone painting technique has had a great influence on the Chinese painting world and is a model for many painting learners to imitate. He also established his own artistic style with great attainments in painting plum blossom, peony, and in calligraphy.

His works had been selected for nine national exhibitions hosted by the China Artists Association and won awards, among which "Without desire, one becomes strong" was selected for the highest award of Chinese art, “The 2nd Golden Color Award", and won the award; 'Awakening' was selected for the 1st Beijing International Art Biennial and won a bronze award; he has held over 40 solo exhibitions both domestically and internationally, and his works have received widespread attention and praise after being exhibited in the United States and the United Kingdom.

Published more than ten collections of works, including "Ding Zhongxiu's Mountain and Stone Sentiments: Analysis of Contemporary Famous Painters' Techniques", "Plum Blossom Atlas", "The Gate of the Great Craftsman", "Contemporary Famous Artists' Painting Collection", "Great Meteorology", "Chinese Artists Series:Ding Zhongxiu Volume", "National Soul:A Comprehensive View of the Yellow River ", "The Dreamland of Yellow Sea", etc; The art essay collection "Discussing art at Caishi Hall" and the technique theory series "Ding Zhongxiu's Northern School Landscape Painting Techniques", "Introduction to Ding Zhongxiu's Northern School Landscape Painting System and Techniques", etc. His books have been distributed in Chinese Mainland, Hong Kong, Taiwan, Europe and America.

Ding Zhongxiu’s world of painting contains unmeasurable spirituality and imagination, his unique style is highly acclaimed in the contemporary Chinese art world. In his Rock works, he focuses on the northern mountainous scenery with little water and trees, using a brand new perspective of an amplified local part, combined with his own symbolic language, breaks through the traditional Rock form, explored into the contemporary feature of Chinese watercolor style, leaving the audience with a surprisingly vivid impression.

In 2016, he completed his large-scale work National Soul:A Comprehensive View of the Yellow River, with a length of 147 meters and a height of 2.2 meters, depicting the whole scenery of the Yellow River. The work immediately gained critical acclaims all-around, known as "one of the eight long scrolls in China" ,”The largest landscape painting in China” and "the best painting of huge rocks in China",became one of the artist’s best-known, and most representative work.

In 2020,he completed his large-scale work The Dreamland of Yellow Sea, with a length of 60 meters and a height of 2 meters, depicting the beauty of the natural and cultural features of Qingdao.It immediately gained critical acclaims all-around and became an outstanding and extraordinary city card for Qingdao.

In 2024, he completed the "Colorado Grand Canyon Series", which once again attracted widespread attention and praise from the international art community.
